Celebrating Lawford Housing Enterprise Trust and the Lawford Parish Community Hub

We were proud to mark two significant milestones for the Lawford community: the 10-year anniversary of the Lawford Housing Enterprise Trust (LHET) and the official opening of the new Lawford Parish Community Hub.

The Community Hub is the result of a collaborative effort between Rose Builders, the Parish Council, and local residents, ensuring that the additional housing allocated to Lawford brought real benefits to the community through the S106 agreement. The previous parish building was no longer suitable, and after many years of planning—spanning over 15 years—we are thrilled to see the vision for a new, purpose-built facility come to life.

This new hub will serve as the home of the Lawford Parish Council, as well as a base for the local First Responders and a satellite station for Essex Police—strengthening community support and services in the area.

The event was also an opportunity to celebrate the success of LHET. Launched in 2014, the Trust has helped young local residents take their first steps onto the property ladder, addressing a critical housing need in a thoughtful and impactful way.

Since its inception, over 90% of LHET tenants have gone on to purchase their own homes—demonstrating the long-term value and success of the initiative.
